THE FOLLOWING ITEMS MUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO SCHEDULING YOUR NACA APPOINTMENT. DEMAND FOR NACA’S SERVICES IS VERY HIGH AND REQUIRES THAT UNPREPARED APPOINTMENTS BE RESCHEDULED FOR THOSE THAT ARE TRULY READY TO PURSUE HOMEOWNERSHIP.


  1. Go To: http://www.naca.com/
    Have someone assist you with this process if you are not computer savvy. The library is a great place to access a computer if you do not own one of your own.

  2. Click on: Purchase Program
    You can access the Purchase Program by clicking on the rectangular shaped button to the right and center of the NACA Home Page
    You can also access the Purchase Program page by clicking on ‘Purchase’ in the red toolbar area across the top of the NACA home page. It will be in Yellow letters. You will then select ‘Steps to Home’ from the drop down box

  3. Click on: Existing Members Click Here
    A box will pop up requesting your NACA ID and password.
    If you have forgotten or misplaced your password, click on the button that says ‘email me my password’ Be sure to use the same email address you provided to us at the workshop.
    Enter your 6 digit NACA ID and Temporary Password.
    Your NACA ID was sent to the email provided at the workshop you attended.
    If you have not received your NACA ID and it has been more than 1 week since you attended a workshop. Please check your email spam or junk mail folder. If you are unable to locate your NACA ID and Temporary Password, contact the office and leave a detailed message.


    PLEASE NOTE
    If you request that a new password be sent to you, you will need to pause and go check your email to retrieve it. Once you have it, you will need to go back to
    www.NACA.com and click on Purchase Program. Then click on ‘Existing Members’. Enter your NACA ID and new password. Then you will be prompted to click on ‘Existing Members’ a 2nd time and re-enter your NACA ID a 2nd time. Then you will need to input the password that was just emailed to you. Click Login. You are now logged in on the Purchase Program Page.

  4. Scroll down to Step # 2 –Information Submission
    There are 4 categories that MUST be completed prior to your appointment

    BUDGET INFO
    EMPLOYER INFO
    LANDLORD INFO
    ALL YELLOW FIELDS MUS T BE COMPLETED. DO NOT LEAVE A YELLOW FIELD BLANK. INPUT THE NUMBER ‘ZERO’ (0) IF APPLICABLE.

    READ THE DIRECTIONS FOR EACH SECTION CAREFULLY.
    TYPE IN ALL CAPS.

    WHEN ENTERING EMPLOYER INFO 5 YEARS OF EMPLOYMENT HISTORY IS BEST BUT ONLY 2 YEARS REQUIRED. YOU SHOULD ENTER AN EMPLOYER FOR EACH W2 YOU WILL BE PROVIDING. PLEASE ENTER ALL FIELDS COMPLETELY AND ACCURATELY. CLICK ON SUBMIT TO ADD ADDITIONAL EMPLOYER INFORMATION.

    WHEN ENTERING LANDLORD INFORMATION – ENTER ACCURATE AND COMPLETE INFORMATION FOR THE LAST 24 MONTHS.

  6. SCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT
    GO TO STEP # 3 AND CLICK ON “CLICK HERE FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT” MAKE A NOTE OF THE ‘APPOINTMENT WITH’ FIELD IMMEDIATELY ABOVE THE RED BAR... CONTACT THE COUNSELOR TO CONFIRM YOUR APPOINTMENT.
    PHONE COUNSELING APPOINTMENTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE PROGRAM

  7. COMPLETE STEP #4
    SIGN YOUR MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT & AUTHORIZATION ELECTRONICALLY

    PAY ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP DUES $20/Household AND $10 Credit Report Fee
    (married couples are charged $10 for a joint credit report all others are charged $10/per applicant)

    USE YOUR 6 DIGIT NACA ID AND THE PASSWORD CREATED TO SIGN THESE DOCUMENTS ELECTRONICALLY. BE SURE TO CHECK THE BOX ‘I AGREE TO NACA TERMS’ THEN CLICK ON THE BUTTON THAT READS ‘SIGN ELECTRONICALLY’

  8. SKIP DOWN TO STEP #5

    GATHER DOCUMENTS:

    BE SURE THAT YOUR DOCUMENTS ARE LEGIBLE.

    ILLEGIBLE DOCUMENTS PROLONG APPROVAL.


    2 YEARS MOST RECENT TAX RETURNS
    ALL W2’S FOR THE SAME TIME FRAME
    90 DAYS OF THE MOST RECENT BANK STATEMENTS FOR ALL ACCOUNTS – REGARDLESS OF BALANCE OR STATUS. TRANSACTION SUMMARIES AND ACCOUNT PRINTOUTS NOT ACCEPTED
    30 DAYS OF THE MOST RECENT INCOME (PAYSTUBS/SSI/DIS etc.) –IF SELF EMPLOYED 12 MONTHS OF BANK STATEMENTS
    VOTER’S REGISTRATION CARD
    PHOTO ID (DRIVER’S LICENSE)
    IF YOU DO NOT HAVE YOUR TAX RETURNS, YOU MUST ORDER A TRANSCRIPT OF YOUR TAXES FROM THE IRS. THEIR NUMBER IS 800-829-1040. THEY CAN FAX THIS INFORMATION TO YOU ONLY IF YOU THE TAXPAYER WILL PHYSICALLY BE A THE FAX TO LOCATION. THE OTHER OPTION IS TO HAVE THEM MAILED. EXPECT A 7-10 DAY TIME FRAME FOR RECEIPT.
    IF YOU ARE MISSING YOUR W2 FORMS. CONTACT YOUR EMPLOYER’S HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT. IF THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE CONTACT THE IRS FOR A COPY. THEY MAY CHARGE A FEE... IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A BANK ACCOUNT YOU CAN’T PROVIDE BANK STATEMENTS.
    IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A VOTER’S REGISTRATION CARD, WE WILL COMPLETE A FORM DURING YOUR APPOINTMENT TO HAVE ONE SENT TO YOU.

  9. GO TO STEP #6

    PRINT OUT YOUR NACA FAX COVER SHEET
    CLICK ON
    “PRINT FAX COVER SHEET.”

    USE THIS COVER SHEET ANYTIME YOU FAX DOCUMENTS TO NACA. THE DOCUMENTS ARE SENT TO A SECURE FAX SERVER AND PLACED DIRECTLY INTO YOUR FILE. AN EMAIL NOTIFICATION IS SENT TO YOUR COUNSELOR ANYTIME A NEW ITEM HAS BEEN SUBMITTED TO YOUR FILE.

YOU ARE ALOTTED 1.5 HOURS FOR YOUR INITIAL INTAKE APPOINTMENT. PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO SCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT ON YOUR LUNCH HOUR... IF YOU ARE RUNNING LATE, PLEASE CALL TO LET YOUR COUNSELOR KNOW, YOU ARE WELCOME TO STILL ARRIVE FOR THE REMAINDER OF YOUR APPOINTMENT TIME.
